Rev. Dr. Michael Adedokun is an elder with the Wisconsin Conference of the United Methodist Church. Originally from South- Western Nigeria, Dr. Michael Adedokun holds a Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Theological Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria; University of Birmingham, United Kingdom; University of Geneva, Switzerland, and Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX. Dr. Adedokun also holds a Doctoral degree in Theology from Perkins School of Theology, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX.
Prior to coming to serve as Pastor of Medford and Dorchester congregations, Dr. Adedokun served as Pastor at Freeman Methodist Cathedral, Abeokuta- Nigeria; Pastor, Moseley Road Methodist Church, Birmingham-England, Instructor, Methodist Theological Institute, Sagamu-Nigeria, and Immanuel College of Theology and Christian Education, Ibadan-Nigeria; Associate Pastor, Highland Park United Methodist Church, Dallas, TX; Director of Programs, Voice of Hope Ministries, Dallas, TX; and Chaplain, Harris Methodist Hospital, Fort Worth, TX.
Dr. Michael Adedokun’s areas of ministry include pastoral care and counseling, evangelism, youth ministry, and laity empowerment. He has authored books and articles on youth ministry, pastoral care, and contemporary evangelism. He has also featured in several local and international conferences and seminars.
Rev. Dr. Michael Adedokun is happily married to Shola, who currently is the Spiritual Growth Coordinator for Chippewa District of the Wisconsin UMC conference. They are blessed with wonderful children. Shola has additionally used her gifts in ministry to uplift our two churches. Our congregations in Medford and Dorchester are blessed with Pastor Michael and his family’s ministry to our church families.
